Welcome to the Squarespace Circle community forums
This central conversation space is for Circle members to ask each other questions, collaborate, exchange best practices, get feedback, and post resources for collective use. Help keep the conversation positive and productive by following these guidelines:
The Circle forum is a space for all Circle members to contribute and receive assistance, regardless of skill level. No conversation should include hateful messages targeted at a person or group based on their Squarespace proficiency, race, ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity. We do not tolerate this behavior and will take immediate action [see Terms of Participation section below].
To do your part in keeping conversations productive, avoid:
- ad hominem attacks
- responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
- knee-jerk contradiction
Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
Follow the Golden Rule
Above all, be kind and treat others the way you want to be treated.
Creating New Topics
Make the community a better place by sharing your knowledge and experience with others.
You never know - the workaround you provide may be the exact solution another member needs to finish their project, so pitch in!
The best questions provide clarity and context by including:
- relevant code
- site links
- problem descriptions
- desired outcomes
We don’t mind if our members post personal or business site links if it’s beneficial to the community, and relevant to the conversation. However, we reserve the right to remove any links we feel do not add value.
Bug Reports & Feature Requests
If you are experiencing an issue with the platform and believe it may be a bug, please create a ticket with our customer care team as soon as possible. The more documented case data we have on an issue, the better we can address it.
If you have a product feature idea that would improve your Squarespace experience, feel free to discuss it with other members. We ask that any feature request discussions be positive, productive, and framed for community (rather than Squarespace) engagement. Visit our post on how to properly frame a feature discussion.
When you're ready for Squarespace to log your suggestion, please submit it to customer care.
Contributing to Existing Topics
Stay On Topic
The primary goal of these forums is to surface content that’s educational, inspirational, and relevant to Squarespace. To keep conversations focused, we ask that all posts remain relevant to the platform and Circle program. We reserve the right to move or remove off-topic comments or sub-conversations.
To keep conversations streamlined and productive, please:
- Use the search function before posting as someone may have asked your question already.
- Start topics in the proper category.
- Don’t divert a topic by changing the subject midstream; simply start a new topic.
Maintain your professionalism when offering critiques or advice. Before replying, ask yourself, “Would I say this to my coworker or boss?” While it’s fine to disagree with things that are said in the forum, it’s not ok to be disrespectful.
Use the Flag Tool
While Moderators are responsible for this forum, your involvement is just as important. When you see bad behavior, flag it. No response is necessary. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.
In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. if you are interested in becoming a moderator, please contact Erin Petree.
